A Spa for your Soul (for the Teacher's Soul) (1) What we need is an awareness that life is what is happening N OW, that we can't keep postponing the possibility of a more mindful, joyful and soulful experience. We are teachers, but our job is not limited to teaching a few structures, or helping someone utter nice sounds only......well, we can choose to be merely a "language activator" or to be a Teacher with capital letters: someone who can give a lot generously, because we know how to replenish ourselves easily through a permanent contact with who we really are., our passions, our ideals, our mission in life, our vision of a better world that can only be achieved through high quality Education, with committed teachers who see beyond the material aspects of teaching. I am not saying the concrete tangible things in teaching are not important: quite the contrary. What I am saying is that we need to see beyond them, and use them from the internal conviction that ours is a blessed profession. We have a great responsibility, which is a gift. We all have a treasure inside waiting to be discovered, polished and put to use. We all need the courage to be who we are meant to be.
